Have you discovered a leak in your plumbing? Leaks are always a serious concern and should be inspected by a licensed plumber immediately. Aside from racking up your water bill, leaks can spread causing severe damage to your valuable possessions. There are a few temporary ways to reduce the leak's intensity until a certified technician can solve the problem. 1. For small holes and cracks, a special epoxy putty can be used to cover the vulnerable areas. 2. For larger holes and cracks, cut a rubber hose large enough to cover twice the damaged area. Place rubber patch over the leak and fasten using clamps around the piping. 3. By using a plumbing wrench, make sure all your connections are tight (without overtightening). 4. Turn off the water supply going to the leaky area and position a bucket below to catch the excess water. If you have more questions about fixing your leak, contact us and we'll provide you with a free estimate. |
